Mindfulness and meditation are occupations that we can weave into our sessions with clients to help them achieve their participation or engagement based goals. In this episode Sarah Good explains the difference between mindfulness and mediation and exactly how these approaches can be used to support our clients with various challenges including those who experience pain, sleep difficulties, ADHD, mental health issues and many more to live fuller lives. Sarah describes a grounding exercise called the ‘5, 4, 3, 2, 1’ that we can use to support clients to filter out everything going on in their mind and activate their parasympathetic nervous system.
