I’m a dreamer and doer. A goal setter and a go-getter. I love pushing myself out of my comfort zone and doing hard things. It’s a personal journey and a spiritual growth practice. I’ve set goals for myself for anything from running a half marathon, to competing in a fitness competition with only 6 weeks training, starting a private practice, launching a podcast, selling online content and living more authentically, creatively, sustainably and intentionally. I’ve manifested some crazy audacious things including having over 500 people attend my first online summit and buying my husbands dream car for his birthday. My goal setting nature has also had me reflect on the type of goals we set with (not for) our clients. I don’t necessarily always set SMART goals for myself, and I still watch my dreams come to fruition. So, why have I been pre-programmed to believe that SMART goals is only way when working with clients? Is there another way? A better way?
If you want to learn how I set my goals (and fail…and achieve them) and you’re curious about learning how goals don’t have to be linear (cause hey, life is messy and not a control trial) and that goals can be emergent and be created in the process of doing……then plug in. Here’s to achieving big goals…#oneoccupationatatime
