What does well-being mean when looking through an occupational lens? How do we work in the health promotion space and empower our clients to harness the power of their mind body and spirit? Can we use integrative and complementary approaches in our work? If. so, how? What’s within scope? And what on earth is possible? I had so many questions. On my quest to learning as much as I possibly could about the potential of our holistic profession, I have interviewed some of the most experienced holistic OT’s who have walked the path before me. I’ve asked all my burning questions and I want to share with you what I have learnt through the creation of the OT Well-Being Summit. This is a passion project I have co-created with my beautiful friend and OT college Emmy Vadnais founder of Holistic OT.
The OT Well-Being Summit brings together 11 occupational therapists who share holistic strategies and tools that you can use in your occupational therapy sessions today with the confidence (and evidence) to use them. We discuss healthy eating, mindfulness, meditation, reiki, coaching and motivational interviewing, yoga, acupressure, breathwork, nature, intuitive development, guided imagery, and culture and diversity.
